RMS Booster Club
What is the Booster Club?
The Booster Club is made up RMS parents who raise money to support the Athletic Department.
Why do we need a Booster Club? We already pay to play!
Money from the Pay-to-Participate program goes almost exclusively to pay for referees and transportation. RMS receives NONE of that money directly.
Who benefits from the Booster Club?
All RMS athletes! The Booster Club fills the gap between the budget we get from CMS and what our actual expenses are. In the 2016-17 year, it paid approximately $4,000 towards the construction of our new practice field, as well as for uniforms, nets, field maintenance, and many other expenses, which otherwise, simply could not have been afforded. Without the Booster Club's support, the quality of our sports program would be greatly diminished.
How does the Booster Club raise its funds?
The Booster Club's primary fundraiser is running concessions at games. Direct donations are also always welcome. HOW CAN I HELP? The most important way parents can help the Booster Club is with their time, and we're not asking for a lot of it. Work concessions at a couple games. If you don't want to miss your son's basketball game, volunteer at the concessions stand during the girls' game. We weren't able to offer concessions at all of our events this year, because we didn't have enough volunteers. The more that parents volunteer, the smaller the individual time commitment becomes. To find out how you can help, please email Mr. Weber.
Not having concessions at a few games can be the difference between your child taking the field in a 6 year old uniform instead of a new one!
Thanks to all of our Booster Club Sponsors. To learn more about becoming a sponsor, please email Mr. Weber.
